- Independence: The Association is independent of the government, political parties and private interests.
- Voluntarism: Members of the ITFMA Board and its Committees receive no payment for their service. They are mtbivated by the desire to develop the generic interest of the industry through thte group voice of the Association. Making it a strong, valuable industry.
- Accountability: ITFMA council is democratically elected from and is accountable to all of the Associations members in General Meetings.
- Impartiality: Members have different goals and objectives. The Association aims to be even handed in working with and on behalf of its members
- Integrity: Staff and volunteers are expected to conduct Association business honestly, fairly and in a manner which shows respect for those with whom they are dealing.

- FRAME It
Frame it is the official publication of the ITFMA - it is available 3 times a year and includes up to date information concerning technical developments within the industry. There are news and views sections which cover various aspects of construction, the environment, education and training that may be of interest.
