informed about your considered choices.
Contact your architect about your preferred method of construction, contact a number
of suitable ITFMA members, talk with the people that will be working on your project, price should not
always determine your choice, be happy with the customer service and attention to detail.
Ensure you understand your commitments under your contract agreement and ensure you are clear what
their commitment is also. Get details of the Engineer who will be issuing the engineers certificate at
the close of the project. Don't hesitate to ask about the 'house keeping' of the company get a tax
clearance certificate, copies of their Quality Accreditation certificate and also their ITFMA membership
certificate.
Talk to your mortgage advisor and your potential insurance company to make sure that
everything is clear. You should have no problems in this regard but it always good to be completely
prepared.
Companies may offer you a supply only or a supply and erect package, the latter would be more
favourable as this will increase your confidence concerning the structure.
